About us


The Green Network of Vojvodina (GNV) is an independent, non-government organization which promotes and supports protection of the environment and sustainable development at the local, regional, national and international levels. The mission of GNV is to establish the sustainable development principle in Vojvodina; boost involvement of the public in the issues related to environment protection and environment related decision making; create and support sustainable communities; contribute to sustainable agriculture and rural development.
GNV is a member of folowing international networks: ANPED, Northern Alliance for Sustainability, Amsterdam, Holand, CEEG, Central and Eastern European Greenways Association, Brno, Czech Republic and IUCN, International Union for Conservation of Nature, Gland, Switzerland.

Green Network of Vojvodina supports and promotes sustainable agriculture and rural development

  • Since 2004. organized Farmer`s Market "My Farm"
  • Since 2007. GNV opened the very first Farmer`s Shop "My Farm" which works according to fair trade principles
  • Supports more than 60 organic farmers
  • Promotes good agriculture practices, tradional and organic farming
  • Educates farmers

Green Network of Vojvodina actively protects environment and promotes principles of sustainable production and consumption

  • Green Network of Vojvodina lead with many campaigns for protection of environment: "Sačuvajmo Ledinačko jezero!" "Stop spalionici smeća!", "Zaštitimo Carsku Baru!"
  • GNV is active in international programs for protection and revitalization of biodiversity - GNV signed Declaration Countdown 2010
  • GNV is a member of varios international forums for sustainable development - representatives of GNV was on World Summit in Johanesburg 2002 and "Environment for Europe", 2007. held in Belgrade

Green Network of Vojvodina supports local communities, civil society, to business and individuals in sustainable and rural development

  • Educates and help communities in building public spaces - GNV is licensed for program for revitalization of public spaces by Project for Public Spaces from New York, USA (Placemaking)
  • Promotes and leads programs for establishing greenways - GNV coordinated with project for development greenways Via Pacis Pannoniae between cities Sombor, Serbia and Osijek, Croatia
  • Educates for rural development and sustainable production and consumption
